Then you must do as planned. It has to be a regular and daily practice, make it a routine. Remember what you want to achieve.

Think of the size you want to wear.

Think of the level of health you want to enjoy.

Think of the quality of life you desire.

Think of the delicious meal you will enjoy today, healthy nutritional meals that will feed your body and eradicate your cravings.

Think of your fitness, how easy you move your body now that you exercise everyday.

Think how great it feels to wear a smaller size.

Focus on your progress. It is up to you to set your mind to success.

Do not listen to the little voice in your head that is trying to convince you that you cannot manage your weight.

Do not listen to the voice that is nagging you not to expect too much. The voice that tells you: "it is too difficult, who wants to bother, who wants to exercise everyday, who wants to cook everyday, who want to." You can fill the blanks.

Listen to the voice that will help you trim this extra weight.

Listen to the voice that believes in you, the voice that knows that you can achieve anything, once you set your mind to it.

You first need to believe in the person you can become. It is the strong desire and the emotions associated with it that will support you when you will need to overcome your doubts and the difficulties that will present themselves on the way to your ideal weight.

Now that you believe in yourself, now that you have an invincible desire to trim all your extra weight, now that you are unstoppable, it is time to start planning your weight management.

You will need:

  • A healthy nutrition plan.
  • A healthy exercise plan.
  • A self support plan.

The basics ..... eat plenty of good tasting, fresh, and healthy foods, fill up on vegetables, and keep your taste buds happy by eating lots of fruit. You should eat 3 small meals along with 3 small snacks each day.

No need to sacrifice! Just follow these simple guidelines to lose 10 or 12 pounds, or to give your weight loss efforts a boost when it seems to have screeched to a halt. Implement this balanced and flexible plan which shows you how to lose weight effectively.

<1>

Keep notes about everything you put into your mouth. No need to estimate calories. Just keep a record of what you eat and drink along with the approximate quantity. You will find that becoming aware of what you are eating helps you to plan healthy meals and snacks.

<2>

Cut your intake of all pure or added fats in half. Use half as much butter or spread on your bread, toast, muffins and potatoes; use half of your usual amount of mayonnaise or sauce on your salad; and use only half of the oil you normally put into the frying pan.

<3>

Eat treats containing sugar only three times per week. This includes the usual suspects: chocolate, ice cream, desserts, cake, pastries, and cookies.

<4>

Most meals should include a lower fat source of protein such as fish, chicken, cottage cheese, low fat yogurt, or beans. You can eat nuts, red meat, and eggs ..... just not every day.

<5>

Cheese and meat should be absent from at least one lunch and dinner every week. In order to increase fiber and reduce fat, those meals without cheese and meat can be built around whole grains, vegetables and beans.

Consume milk products containing reduced fat. Reduce from whole milk to 2% fat. Over time, reduce from 2% to 1%. Consume lower fat cheese and yogurt. Always read the labels to confirm that the yogurt you purchase does not contain sugar.

<7>

Eat a minimum of two servings of fruit every day as dessert or for snacks. Choose fruit that is in season.

<8>

Substitute water for sodas, juices, milk or alcohol. Do not drink diet soda because the sweet taste makes you crave sugar. Many people find that hot water with a slice of lemon can be very refreshing in the morning.

<9>

Include at least two servings of vegetables during lunch and dinner. You can have more servings of vegetables if you are still hungry.

<10>

Eat slowly in order to give your body time to understand that it is no longer hungry. This will reduce your tendency to eat too much.

<11>

Grated carrots are great for snacks and are much more filling than whole carrots.

<12>

The fiber in whole grains gives you a fuller feeling and will also help your digestion.

You can increase your fiber intake by choosing foods that need to be chewed. Chewing helps us to feel more satisfied. For example, eat some fruit instead of drinking juice. And always try to eat chunky soup instead of broth.

1. Eat Breakfast

Effective Ways To Weight Loss

You're already trying hard to lose weight. You're exercising and eating right. You're drinking more water and less juice. So how about doing a couple extra things this year to lose a couple extra pounds? Let's take a look at a few things you could do to supplement your weight loss:

1. Eat a salad before every meal. If you eat a full salad without dressing before you order or make your main meal, you may not find yourself eating as much of the high calorie foods to get full. You may be able to cut as much as 100 to 200 calories from each meal, which could help you lose one to two pounds per week. More importantly, you'll be eating healthier.

2. Use cinnamon flavored gum as your only snack. Whenever you feel yourself getting hungry and it isn't meal time, try popping a piece of sugar free cinnamon gum in your mouth. We're not sure why, but cinnamon gum seems to provide a hunger satisfaction not received from fruit and mint flavors.

3. Take 20 to 30 minutes to relax before consuming meals. This relaxation time could be taking a walk or talking with friends. In the mornings you may want to have your devotional time before your meal. Water the plants in your house or read a newspaper. Don't watch TV, as contrary to what many think, this causes a physiological stress reaction in the body.

4. Try new types of fruits and vegetables whenever you see some you haven't eaten before. Every new healthy food that you discover a liking for is another variety of alternative low-calorie food for you to use in your weekly meal plans. Many diets feel because they lack variety of flavors, so the more healthy variety you add the less you'll crave a change in diet. You may even play in the kitchen and create two or three great new recipes out of each new food you find.

5. Almost never combine eating with other activities. The only exception are family meals when some healthy conversation at the dinner table may be of more value than weight loss. You will almost always eat more if you're entertained while you eat.

It is important to keep your family and friends close while you are working on your weight loss efforts. Keep your support system close and take time to talk with people. Isolating yourself can undermine your weight loss efforts. Reach out and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
